Qlik is a Business Intelligence (BI) company. The company's SaaS-based platform offers an application for interactive data analysis, enterprise-class analytics, data discovery and sales performance analysis, enabling users to make business decisions. It delivers intuitive platform services for self-service data visualization, guided analytics applications, embedded analytics and reporting to approximately 45,000 customers worldwide.
Qlik's data Integration tools include Attunity Replicate, which allows users universal data replication and data ingestion; Attunity Compose, which allows users agile data lake and data warehouse automation; Attunity Gold Client, which allows users to streamline their SAP test data management and SAP modernization initiatives; Attunity Enterprise Manager, which allows users to centrally manage data replication and pipeline automation across the enterprise; and Qlik Data Catalyst, which allows users data management and cataloging at an enterprise level.
Qlik's data analytics tools include Qlik Sense, a data analytics platform offering business intelligence with AI-powered analytics experience and capabilities; and QlikView, their analytics solution which allows users to build and deploy interactive, guided analytics applications and dashboards using a flexible development environment.
Qlik's developer platform tools include Qlik Core, which allows users to build, extend and deploy fast, interactive data-driven applications in the cloud with their analytics development platform built on the Qlik Associative Engine; and Qlik Analytics Platform, which allows users to build simple mashups, create customs analytics or embed analytics into applications, portals and more.
Qlik completed it's IPO on July 16, 2010 with an opening share price of $10.00. They were delisted on August 22, 2016. On that date, it was announced that Thoma Bravo completed a $3 billion take-private acquisition of Qlik.
Qlik announced their agreement to purchase software company Attunity for $560 million on February 22, 2019.
On January 22, 2019 Qlik announced their acquisition of CrunchBot and Crunch Data. The Ai-powered natural language bot and specialist services were purchased by Qlik to help drive analytics adoption, customer success and data literacy and ease data into workflows and make analytics an easier element in customer decision making.
On July 24, 2018 Qlik announced their acquisition of Podium Data. The acquisition of Podium Data expanded Qlik's portfolio beyond analytics and enabled analytics-ready data strategy to drive data-driven transformation.
Qlik acquired Idevio on January 4, 2017. The acquisition improves Qlik's visual analytics platform by providing powerful map visualizations and location-based analytics for both Qlik Sense and QlikView.
