Quantum Motion Technology is a company that is developing scalable qubit arrays fabricated on silicon with a CMOS compatible process. The company was founded in 2017 by scientists John Morton at University College London (UCL) and Simon Benjamin at the University of Oxford. On November 15th, 2017, Quantum Motion raised Seed round funding from Parkwalk Advisors, Oxford Sciences Innovation, and IP Group.
A single logical qubit can require thousands of physical qubits to allow the robust error checking required for dependable calculation. Quantum computing architecture will need to be scalable to reduce the size of the hardware required. Quantum Motion technology is developing scalable arrays of qubits based on CMOS silicon technology to achieve high-density qubits.
