Quid is a business intelligence company offering an artificially intelligent analytics web-based software platform that is headquartered in San Francisco, California and was founded in 2010 by Bob Goodson and Sean Gourley. The Quid platform is able to extract meaning from a variety of written content such as news, product reviews, company investments, and forums, and present data using interactive visual maps. The platform attempts to help companies and individuals identify market opportunities, understand the needs of customers, build market awareness, and mitigate risk. Quid was acquired in January 2020 by Netbase.
On March 19, 2015 Quid announced raising $39 million in funding from Liberty Interactive Corporation (lead investor), ARTIS Ventures, Buchanan Investments, Subtraction Capital, Tiger Partners, and Thomas H. Lee Limited Family Partnership II. The CEO of Quid, Neville Crawley, made the following statement regarding the companies series D funding round:
We are proud to have reached this funding milestone with Quid, right on the heels of signing our first multi-million-dollar customers. Quid is empowering organizations to immediately gain insights through machine-driven intelligence, and this funding round will allow us to further expand our product and engineering capabilities and to invest in sales and marketing to bring our technology to a broader set of clients.
On October 29, 2018 Quid announced raising $37.5 million in funding from REV Ventures (lead investor), Julian Roberson, Henry Kravis, Lixil Group Corp, Artis Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, and Founders Fund. At the time of announcing their venture funding the company also announced taking out $8 million of debt.
