R. B. Braithwaite (born January 15, 1900 in Banbury, and died April 21, 1990 in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire) was a philosopher, ethicist, and paramedic from the United Kingdom. He was the child of William Charles Braithwaite.
Braithwaite was educated at Bootham School and King's College, Cambridge. He served as the doctoral advisor to mathematician Tom Whiteside and linguist Yorick Wilks. His own doctoral advisor had been the philosopher G. E. Moore.
