German physicist noted for the discovery of particle spin and for his theory of x-ray absorption spectroscopy
Ralph Kronig (1904-1995) was a German physicist born in Dresden. He held citizenship in Germany and was educated at Columbia University. As a researcher, Kronig mainly focused on theoretical physics, contributing to the understanding of atomic structures and electron behavior.
Kronig's doctoral advisor was Albert Potter Wills, and one of his doctoral students was Jan Korringa. He passed away on November 16, 1995, in Zeist, Netherlands.
