Ralph Nelson (1916-1987) was an American screenwriter, film producer, actor, and film director. Born on December 8, 1916, in Long Island City, he was the father of Ted Nelson.
His career included a diverse range of film projects, such as "Lilies of the Field" and "Duel at Diablo", both of which are considered notable works. Some of his other directorial works were "Requiem for a heavyweight", "Father Goose", and "Once a Thief". Ralph Nelson also directed "Charly", "Soldier Blue", and "...tick...tick...tick...", among others.
Nelson worked in various aspects of the film industry, including movie production, cinematography, and filmmaking. He died on December 21, 1987, in Santa Monica, California.
