Biography
Ramesh Patel was born on September 12, 1953 in Auckland, New Zealand. Played field hockey and cricket for Oakland. In 1971, he was named to the New Zealand youth cricket team, but then focused on field hockey. As part of Oakland, for which he played from the age of 17, he became the champion of the country four times. He also played for Saint Lux of Oakland.
