Raymundo Punongbayan (June 13, 1937 - April 28, 2005) was a Filipino volcanologist, born in Manila, Philippines. He was a citizen of the Philippines and received his education from the University of the Philippines. Punongbayan founded the AGHAM Partylist, an organization promoting science and technology as a means to bring about national development. Unfortunately, Punongbayan's life came to an end in a helicopter crash in Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija on April 28, 2005.
