Research Institute of Structural Materials Based on Graphite (NIIgrafit)

The Institute is engaged in the development of lubricants and sealing materials based on polycrystalline graphites, raw materials for synthetic diamonds, glassy carbon, carbon fiber materials (tapes, fabrics, meshes, felts), artificial graphite. Founded in 1960. During the functioning of the institute, more than 200 materials and products have been created and mastered, some of which have no analogues in the world. The main direction of activity at present is the development of new generation carbon materials.
