Rewind is a developer of a search engine designed to record meetings and transform them into searchable and shareable video and text. The company uses artificial intelligence technology to augment memory and automate note-taking and sharing highlights of meetings for real-time transcription.

Rewind works by recording a user's screen and audio and compiling a timeline of their activities. The platform is designed with a privacy framework to keep data secure and local and offers a commitment to privacy to ensure user trust, as it logs their digital activity throughout the day. To record the activity, the platform uses optical character recognition (OCR) and automated speech recognition (ASR) to analyze and index a user's screen and make those activities searchable.

Further, the platform compresses raw recording data, which can be installed on smaller hard drives or integrated with common cloud services. Users can also set up exclusions through the platform that can pause or delete recordings, give the platform applications not to record, and exclude private browsing windows, such as Chrome Incognito and Safari Private.

Part of the platform includes an integrated ChatGPT feature, ChatGPT for Me, which uses the raw data collected by the platform to answer users' questions in a chatbot style. This allows a user to quiz the chatbot regarding their computer data, including reminding them of meetings, promises, what a user was reading about, or how they know a person. Unlike the regular platform, when using the ChatGPT for Me feature, data that is normally stored locally has to be sent to the cloud to generate the ChatGPT response.
