Richard Quine (1920-1989) was an American songwriter, film director, actor, screenwriter, lyricist, film producer, and television producer. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, and held citizenship in the United States. During his career, Quine directed numerous films, including The World of Suzie Wong, My Sister Eileen, Paris When It Sizzles, The Solid Gold Cadillac, Sex and the Single Girl, Bell, Book and Candle, How to Murder Your Wife, It Happened to Jane, Operation Mad Ball, The Notorious Landlady, The Moonshine War, and Strangers When We Meet.
His work extended to other films such as Purple Heart Diary, All Ashore, Siren of Bagdad, Cruisin' Down the River, Full of Life, Castle in the Air, A Talent for Loving, Oh Dad, Poor Dad..., So This Is Paris, and The Sunny Side of the Street. Quine passed away in Los Angeles on June 10, 1989.
