Rivada Networks is a provider of wireless interoperable public safety communication networks, including communication services to the public safety community at local, state, and federal levels. The company also offers networks to lease out and share the unused capacity of this spectrum, through its dynamic spectrum arbitrage that allocates network resources where needed its multi-patented, enhanced location-based services (ELBS) technology for location accuracy.
The company was founded in 2004 by Declan Ganley and works to grow its capacity for meeting the growing market of mobile-data demand.
The company's technology includes Rivada Networks's Open Access Market, which works to bring ease of access to help users connect on the company's networks. Rivada's technology allows connectivity to be purchased a year ahead, a month ahead, or in real time to offer flexibility. Further, Rivada Networks offers dynamic spectrum sharing so businesses can buy bandwidth as needed.
Rivada Networks is also developing a low-earth orbit satellite network to deploy a fully interconnected, high-speed network delivered from space. The company has a deal with Trion Space AG, which allows Rivada Networks to offer a Ka band spectrum through its low-earth orbit satellites. This network is intended to be offered to telecommunication, maritime, energy, and government services.
