Robert E. Howard

Robert E. Howard (born Robert Ervin Howard) was born on January 22, 1906, in Peaster, Texas. An American writer, novelist, screenwriter, and poet, Howard was educated at Brownwood High School and Howard Payne University.

Howard used several pseudonyms during his career, including John Taverel, Patrick Ervin, Patrick Howard, Patrick Mac Conaire, Sam Walser, and Steve Costigan. He primarily wrote in the short story and novel genres.

Some of his most notable works include "Conan the Barbarian," "Kull of Atlantis," "The Hour of the Dragon," "Worms of the Earth," and "Pigeons from Hell". Robert E. Howard passed away on June 11, 1936, in Cross Plains, Texas, and held citizenship in the United States.
