Rodion Malinovsky (1898-1967) was a politician, officer (armed forces), and writer from the Soviet Union and the Russian Empire. He was born in Odessa and passed away in Moscow.
Malinovsky was awarded a number of honors throughout his career. He received the Medal "For the Defence of the Caucasus", Jubilee Medal "30 Years of the Soviet Army and Navy", Order of the White Lion, and Jubilee Medal "40 Years of the Armed Forces of the USSR".
Additionally, he was awarded the Medal "For the Defence of Odessa", Order of Sukhbaatar, Order of the National Flag, Order of Lenin, Medal "For the Victory over Japan", and Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945".
Malinovsky also received the Order of Victory, Star of the Republic of Indonesia, Order of the Red Banner, Hero of the Soviet Union, Medal "For the Defence of Stalingrad", Jubilee Medal "XX Years of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army", Croix de guerre 1914–1918 (France), and Order of the Cloud and Banner.
Moreover, he was honored with the Medal "For the Capture of Vienna", Medal "For the Capture of Budapest", Medal of St. George, Gold Star, and Order of the People's Hero.
