Rudolf Dassler

Rudolf Dassler was a German entrepreneur born on March 26, 1898, in Herzogenaurach. He was the founder of Puma, a multinational corporation that designs and manufactures athletic and casual footwear, apparel, and accessories. Besides being the founder, Dassler was also involved in the occupation of Argentine footballer Diego Maradona. Rudolf Dassler had a child named Armin Dassler. He died on October 27, 1974, in Herzogenaurach.

This incident is said to have caused irreparable differences between the brothers.
• Herzogenaurach, where both ‘Adidas’ and ‘Puma’ have their headquarters, is a town that has been affected by the family feud of the Dasslers.
