Rudy Carlton Gay Jr. (born August 17, 1986) is an American basketball player who is known for his game with the Utah Jazz in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Rudy Gay was born in Baltimore and holds citizenship in the United States. He is currently employed by the Utah Jazz and is located in Lehi, Utah.
Gay attended Eastern Technical High School, Archbishop Spalding High School, and later the University of Connecticut. As an athlete, he has participated in various basketball leagues and competitions.
