Ruhr University Bochum

Ruhr University Bochum (Ruhr-Universität Bochum) is a public educational institute located in Bochum, Germany. Founded in 1962, it is affiliated with the European University Association and the Utrecht Network. The university operates under the motto "menschlich -weltoffen -leistungsstark".

The university is accredited by the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute, and the Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programmes. As part of its role in the higher education industry, it has spun off a company called Zolitron Technology GmbH.
