Rui Costa, also known as Rui Manuel César Costa, was born on March 29, 1972 in Amadora, Portugal. He is a former Portuguese footballer and attacking midfielder, known for his time in clubs such as "Benfica," "Fiorentina," and "Milan". Currently residing in Lisbon, Rui Costa is a citizen of Portugal and holds the occupation of a football player.
During his career, Rui Costa received several awards when playing for different teams. While playing for "Benfica," he won the 1993/94 Portuguese Championship and the 1992/93 Portuguese Cup. As a player for "Fiorentina," Rui Costa won the Italian Cup in the 1995/96 and 2000/01 seasons and the Italian Super Cup in 1996. His tenure with "Milan" brought numerous achievements, including the 2003/04 Italian Championship, 2002/03 Italian Cup, 2004 Italian Super Cup, 2002/03 Champions League, 2003 UEFA Super Cup, and reaching the 2004/05 Champions League finals. He was also awarded the title of Best UEFA Champions League Assistant in the 2002/2003 season.
Rui Costa is currently the CEO and owner of S.L. Benfica, as well as being employed by the same club.
