Ryan Thomas Gosling (born November 12, 1980) is a Canadian musician, screenwriter, composer, film producer, actor, film director, and restaurateur. Born in London, Ontario, Gosling has worked in various genres throughout his career, including indie rock and folk rock.
Gosling has been educated at Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational School and Lester B. Pearson High School. He made a name for himself with his roles in films such as "La La Land," "The Notebook," and "Blade Runner 2049," among others. The actor has received numerous awards throughout his career, including Dublin Film Critics Circle Awards, Film Independent Spirit Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and MTV Movie & TV Award.
In addition to acting, Gosling has also ventured into the music and film industries as a director, singer, and advocate. His father is Thomas Ray Gosling, and he is in a relationship with actress Eva Mendes.
