The team was founded in 1924. In 1932, Cortina won its first title. In the post-war period, the team performed more successfully, in the period from 1957 to 1975, the team won 14 gold medals. In 1971, the team reached the semifinals of the European Ice Hockey Cup. Due to malfunctions with the lighting of the arena, the team performed in Milan from 1998 to 2002, and did not perform in 2003. In the 2003/04 season , she returned to Serie A. In the 2006/07 season, after a 32-year break, Cortina again won the Scudetto and became the champion of Italy. In 2017, the team began competing in the International Alpine Hockey League.
