Russian physician and one of the first female psychoanalysts
Sabina Spielrein was a psychologist, physician, psychiatrist, and writer who was born on October 25, 1885, in Rostov-on-Don and held citizenship in the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. Spielrein was educated at the University of Zurich and had Eugen Bleuler as her doctoral advisor. She died on August 11, 1942, in Rostov-on-Don.
