Salman Rushdie

Salman Rushdie, born June 19, 1947, in Mumbai, is a writer, novelist, screenwriter, actor, and essayist. He is a citizen of India, the United Kingdom, and formerly the British Raj.

Rushdie pursued his education at Cathedral and John Connon School, Rugby School, and King's College, Cambridge. He is known for his works in the genre of magic realism and his notable work, The Satanic Verses.
