The San Diego Loyal Soccer Club is a professional men's soccer team in San Diego, California. The club was founded in 2019 by Warren Smith, DeAndre Yedlin, Andrew Vassiliadis, and former USMNT player Landon Donovan. The team plays at Torero Stadium after signing a three-year commitment letter. The club is the newest member of the USL Championship League, a USSF-sanctioned Division II league. Co-Owner and Chairman Andrew Vassiliadis is the youngest in the USL Championship League.
The club's motto is "For Now. For Always. For San Diego." The San Diego Loyal SC crest includes sky, land, and ocean symbols relating to both San Diego and the game of soccer. The club's first supporter group is called The Locals and is a members-only group dedicated to cheering online, from the stands, at local parties/events, on road trips, and tailgating in the Bum's Barking Lot at Torero Stadium.
As of May 21, 2022, the roster includes twenty-five players from the United States, South Africa, New Zealand, Cameroon, Spain, Ireland, England and Scotland.
