Sano Intelligence is a technology company making wearable devices containing sensors capable of capturing and transmitting blood chemistry data (such as blood glucose levels) to other devices. The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California and was founded by Ashwin Pushpala and Raj Gokal in 2011.
The company makes biometric sensors and software to help people understand what's happening inside their bodies by monitoring body chemistry markers; primarily blood chemistry markers such as glucose levels. Users are able to see the impact of their dietary choices on their metabolism by using Sano Intelligence devices, and can use that information to improve their health by making more informed decision regarding which foods and drinks they consume.
On January 7, 2013 Sano Intelligence completed their seed funding round with $4.2 million in funding from True Ventures, Rock Health, First Round Capital, Felicis Ventures, Foodgate, Elevation Partners, and Timothy Ferris. On June 19, 2015 Sano Intelligence completed their second seed funding round with $10.5 million in funding from True Ventures (lead investor), Intel Capital (lead investor), Social Capital, Rock Health, Pegasus Tech Ventures, Morado Ventures, Graph Ventures, FoundersClub, First round Capital, and Felicis Ventures.
On June 4, 2018 Sano Intelligence completed their series A funding round with $6 million in funding from Fitbit.
