Sarah Churchill, Duchess of Marlborough (1660-1744) was a prominent figure in the Kingdom of England and later the Kingdom of Great Britain. Born on June 5, 1660, in Hertfordshire, she held several notable positions, including Mistress of the Robes, Lady-in-waiting, and Politician.
She was the founder of Marlborough House, which also happened to be the place of her death on October 18, 1744. Sarah Churchill had four children: Lady Randolph Churchill, Henrietta Godolphin, 2nd Duchess of Marlborough, Anne Spencer, Countess of Sunderland (1683-1716), and John Churchill, Marquess of Blandford. Her father was Richard B. Jennings.
