Sardona Therapeutics

Sardona Therapeutics is a California-based company that spun out of UCLA and is developing small molecule drugs that target RNA regulators to overcome therapy resistance in cancer. Over time, cancer cells become resistant to standard care due to target alterations, receptor internalization, and enhanced DNA repair. Sardona Therapeutics is attempting to preempt therapy resistance by targeting oncogenic RNA regulators and, thereby, suppress a multitude of oncogenic driver genes to ultimately prevent cancer recurrence. The company is headquartered in Santa Monica, California, and was founded by Martina Roos in May 2020.
