Scott E. Parazynski is a physician, astronaut, and native of Little Rock, Arkansas, born on July 28, 1961. He is a citizen of the United States and is renowned for his impressive list of awards and accomplishments.
Dr. Parazynski was educated at Stanford University as well as the Stanford University School of Medicine. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards, including recognition from the Boy Scouts of America, the National Institutes of Health Predoctoral Training Award in Cancer Biology, and the Research Honors Award from Stanford Medical School.
As a NASA astronaut, he has also been awarded the NASA Space Flight Medal, the NASA Distinguished Service Medal, and the NASA Exceptional Service Medal.
Dr. Parazynski's accomplishments extend beyond academia and space. He has received the Antarctica Service Medal, the Aviation Week Laureate Award, and the Explorers Club Lowell Thomas Award. In addition, he was inducted into the Arkansas Aviation Hall of Fame and honored with the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland.
