Sean S. Cunningham , born on December 31, 1941 , is a film producer, director, writer, and screenwriter from the United States. He was born in New York City and holds a US nationality. Cunningham was educated at Stanford University and Marshall College.
He began his career in the film industry with the release of his first work in 1970. Cunningham is the founder of Crystal Lake Entertainment, and he is known for directing and producing multiple horror films since the early 1970s. Genre-wise, his work includes horror, comedy, slasher, thriller, zombie, science fiction, and adventure films.
