Seydou Keita is a Malian football player born on January 16, 1980 in Bamako, Mali. His official name is Seydou Keïta.
Throughout his career, Keita received numerous awards and recognitions. Some of his notable achievements include winning the 2001-02 Coupe de France, the 2005 UEFA Intertoto Cup, and the 2007 UEFA Super Cup Runner-up. He also won multiple La Liga titles (2008-09, 2009-10, and 2010-11), two Copa del Rey titles (2008-09 and 2011-12), and three Supercopa de España titles (2009, 2010, and 2011).
Keita also achieved success in European competitions, winning two UEFA Champions League titles (2008-09 and 2010-11) and two UEFA Super Cup titles (2009 and 2011). He was also part of the 2009 and 2011 FIFA Club World Cup-winning teams.
With the Mali national team, Keita took third place in the 2012 and 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, and he was named to the Team of the Tournament several times. He also received individual awards such as the FIFA U-20 World Cup Golden Ball in 1999 and was included in the CAF Team of the Year in 2009 and 2011.
Seydou Keita is the child of Diego Keita.
