Shortcut Ventures is a microventure capital firm in Germany that focuses on early-stage startups in the fields of internet, mobile phones, games, and social media. Founded 2012 in Hamburg, Germany by Dirk Freise, Martin Ostermayer, and Thorsten Rehling, it invests in early stage ventures and seed rounds. Its portfolio companies include Stocard, tado°, ZenMate, and Mediakraft Networks. As of April 2020, Shortcut Ventures has made 14 investments. Their most recent investment was on June 5, 2018, when Stocard raised $20M. Shortcut Ventures has had two exits, the most notable of which include ZenMate and Mediakraft Networks. The company has raised a single venture fund, Shortcut Ventures GmbH Fund I. This fund was announced on February 8, 2012 and raised a total of €40M.
