Siklu is a developer of gigabit ethernet radio products designed to build and deliver millimeter wave wireless connectivity radios. The company's gigabit ethernet radio products use technology that is intended to bring scalability, multi-gigabit capacity, and reliability to the dense networks.
Siklu's wireless solutions operate in the mmWave bands and are marketed towards service providers and system integrators to provide 5G wireless access services. The company suggests its products are easy to install on street fixtures or rooftops and are also useful for smart city projects such as video security, WiFi backhaul, and municipal network connectivity.
Siklu suggests the company's products offer solutions for applications emerging in the smart city market that require high megabyte or gigabyte per second upload and download speeds. This can include video security systems with multiple cameras in HD or 4K definition, public WiFi services supporting over 2 GB per second connectivity, and a suitable backhaul connection for supporting these services. The company also suggests their networks with multi-gigabit capacities offer zero interference through the mmWave bands and are able to deliver the network to meet the demands for these services, including city office connectivity demands without the need for multiple networks and with a desired reliability.
The company's smart city offerings include products for video security solutions, public safety, critical infrastructure, and education markets. The company's products are intended to handle the data stream from high definition and 4K video systems to help human monitors react faster, and also to provide better picture quality for artificial intelligence and machine learning programs used to continuously monitor cameras. As well, as Siklu's products include wireless networking solutions, the company suggests using their network products to set up surveillance cameras and security systems in scenarios and places normally inaccessible by wired networks. In public safety systems, these systems could offer better interactive video for police and fire departments.
As the wireless networks transition from 4G to 5G, there is a need for backhaul connectivity at gigabit capacities. Siklu suggests the company's multi-gigabit products can help the transition and keep the wireless traffic running. These products can be used for small cell and mobile backhaul, enterprise backhaul, public WiFi, and building connectivity. The company's EtherHaul product line can work alone or with fiber-based backhaul technology, with the intention of supporting small cells and macrocell base stations and when used with other Siklu products. The company claims the radios can achieve links as far as six or seven miles.
Siklu offers internet access solutions for different market types, including single family homes, multi-dwelling units, education facilities, rural connectivity, and industrial connectivity. Siklu is developing network access products, which include SFUs, MDUs, SMBs, and IoT applications; they are also working towards new methodologies for self-organizing networks, which are intended to help streamline deployments and lower CAPEX and OPEX. Siklu's fourth generation of 60 GHz products are Facebook Terragraph compliant and part of a complete system for designing and operating mesh networks of thousands of nodes for fixed 5G service.
The EtherHaul hundred series is designed to be lightweight and small in size with these attributes being of importance when targeting street level deployment. The product line includes the EH-500, the EH-700, the EH-600/614, and EH-710. The EH-500 and EH-700 are designed to operate up to 200 MB per second and the EH-600 and EH-710 are designed to operate at speeds of 1 GB per second. The products in this product line are TDD based and use Siklu's patented modem design for mmWave at 60 to 70/80 GHz. These products can be used at ranges as far as 1.6 miles (2.6 kilometers).
The Kilo series of products are deployed 70 to 80 GHz radios offering mmWave solutions and deliver multi-gigabyte per second connections over distance. The capacities start at 700 MB per second with the EH-1200TX product and go as high as 10 GB per second with the FDD EH-8010. Other products in the Kilo series include the EH-5500 and EH-2000. The product line uses Siklu's patented RFIC implementations, with supported ranges reaching as far as 4.3 miles (6.9 kilometers). The products are designed around a small form factor with an IP67 rating for outdoor use.
Siklu's MultiHaul series brings multipoint access products with point to point E band and V band capabilities with multi gigabit throughputs and in the 60GHz V Band. The products include the MultiHaul PtMP BU/TU, MultiHaul PtP, MultiHaul PtMP cTU, and the MultiHaul Terragraph series. These products are intended for use in the 5G gigabit wireless access market, with 400 meters range in PtMP configuration and with beam forming capabilities reducing the need for alignment between base units and terminal units. The base units offer 90 degree sectors with integrated beam steering antennas and three ports capable of cooperating with up to eight terminal units. The sector capacity of these products is 2.3 GB per second over the air.
Siklu's MultiHaul Terragraph series is part of the MultiHaul series of products with Facebook's Terragraph compatibility and intended for use in the L2 software defined networking (SDN) mesh market. The products operate in the 60 GHz V-band and deliver multi-gigabit throughputs. The products in the Terragraph series include the Multihaul TG Node N366, and Multihaul TG TU T265. The products are intended for use in wireless access services and IoT applications. A single unit is designed to provide 360 degree coverage and up to 16 GB per second capacity. The products are intended to have autonomous operation mode for controller-less operations and self-organization capabilities in L2 SDN mesh routing situations.
Siklu also offers the company's SmartHaul Network Software Tools, which is a suite of software tools intended to help users with the company's other products. These software tools include a Wireless Network Design Engine (WiNDE), a Link Budget Calculator, and an Element Management System (EMS).
This software tool is intended to help customers decide what equipment they need at different points in their network in order to increase coverage and reduce complexity. The WiNDE system takes all input at the locations to be served and recommends what the company calls cost effective and robust implementations to choose from, as well as options for network designs that may work better or more efficiently.
The Siklu Link Budget Calculator is a predictive online cloud-based tool that works to predict the performance of a proposed link before installation and site surveys. The tool is intended to help system integrators plan link performance and generate estimates of availability versus distance of a proposed network design.
Siklu's EMS is a system intended to help customers configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and administer networks of all sizes. The system is coupled with SNMPv2/3 support toward the radios and a REST full Northbound API that offers operations support systems and allows EMS to act as a standalone management system that can be integrated into a larger operations environment. The system offers either tree or map views of the network; information on network status, spectrum use, device status, and inventory; configurable alarm thresholds and notifications; device configurations by device or in bulk; administration services for user accounts, domain management, and security; and managed upgrades for the software and the network hardware.
