Silicon Alley Venture Partners (SAVP) is a venture capital firm headquartered in New York, New York. It was founded in 1998 by early web advertising entrepreneur Steve Brotman. The company makes early stage capital investments in post-revenue technology companies located on the East coast of the United States. It generally invests between $25,000 to $1,000,000 alongside other venture capital investors in a portfolio company. It has invested in the business software, information technology, healthcare technology, e-commerce, social media, big data, and data analytics sectors.
In 2006, Silicon Alley Venture Partners was acquired by Greenhill & Co, the merchant banking division of Greenhill Capital Parnters. Following the acquisition, it raised a $100 million fund called the Greenhill SAVP fund.
