Singer Corporation is an american manufacturer of sewing machines founded in 1851 by Isaac Singer.
Singer is an American corporation, a manufacturer of space and military equipment, as well as household appliances (sewing machines, electrical appliances), engines, furniture and other products, founded as IM Singer & Co. in 1851 by Isaac M. Singer and New York lawyer Edward Clark. Best known for its sewing machines, it was renamed the Singer Manufacturing Company in 1865 and then the Singer Company in 1963. It is based in La Verne, Tennessee, near Nashville. His first large factory for mass production was built in 1863 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
