Skilling is a Cyprus based online trading company launched by Optimizer Invest which was founded in 2012 by Henrik Persson, Mikael Riese Harstad and André Lavold. Its headquarters are in Nicosia, Cyprus, and it is licensed by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission with branches in Spain and Malta.
Launched in April 2019, with the former CEO of Google Sweden, Anders Berglund, serving as CEO, Skilling allows users to trade Forex and CFD (Contracts for Differences) instruments covering a range of currency pairs, major companies, commodities, indices and cryptocurrencies. The company has developed its own proprietary platform and offers cTrader.
Skilling was launched in 2019 as the largest start up venture from Optimizer Invest. In November 2019 it launched a new mobile trading platform which allows customers to trade CFD and Forex instruments on the go.In 2019 Andre Lavold took over from Anders Berglund as CEO.
