Slow Ventures is a venture capital and private equity firm investing in technology, science, society, and culture that is headquartered in San Francisco, California and was founded in 2011 by Dave Morin, Kevin Colleran, and Sam Lessin. On April 11, 2019 Slow ventures completed raising capital for their first follow-on fund. The company raised $55 million for their follow-on opportunity fund, and the partners of Slow Ventures released the following statement about the fund:
With our first Opportunity Fund, we’re excited to be able to invest additional capital in existing Slow portfolio companies as they scale, while also now being able to invest for the first time in more mature growth-stage companies that we missed earlier on.
