SnapComms is an Auckland, New Zealand-based company founded in 2007 by Chris Leonard and Sarah Perry. The company developed an internal business communication software for important notifications to employees that can be overlooked when sent through emails. SnapComms was acquired by Everbridge in 2020 but continues to operate as a subsidiary.
The desktop alert allows important and urgent notifications, like unplanned downtime or notification of other technical errors, emergency notifications, and more to populate on the desktop of employee work computers.
The desktop scrolling headlines offer enterprises to promote a constant stream of news, technical, and other informational updates from the company to its employees. Businesses can use this feature to keep employees in the know without disrupting workflows.
Internal user newsletters allow employees to assist in the development and composition of company newsletters. SnapComms states that this integration is intended to engage employees by allowing all employees the opportunity to contribute. The newsletter comes with several templates to ensure all important information is contributed.
The employee survey allows employees to give feedback to the employer through qualitative data. The data is then used to assist in upper management decision-making that affects the employees. Generally, surveys are used to assess employee satisfaction, engagement, opinions, and other metrics.
