Soong Ching-ling (27 January 1893 – 29 May 1981) was a Chinese politician born in Shanghai and passed away in Beijing. She held citizenship in China and was an influential member of Chinese politics throughout much of the 20th century.
Educated in the United States at Wesleyan College and McTyeire College, Soong Ching-ling played a prominent role in Chinese cultural and political life. She was the founder of China International Publishing Group. Known as a politically active figure, Soong Ching-ling was heavily involved in various national and international causes.
Soong Ching-ling was the daughter of Charlie Soong, a prominent Chinese industrialist, and grew up in a family with strong ties to the political landscape in China. Throughout her life, she remained devoted to her country and contributed significantly to its development as a modern and progressive nation.
