Spyderco is an American company that manufactures knives and vehicles for them. Founded in 1978 by Sal Glesser.

The company filed an American patent for a round hole in the blade, and later achieved recognition of it as a trademark of the company [1] (the so-called "Spyderhole").

The Spyderco Endura appears in The Rock Climber with Sylvester Stallone, Daylight, and the first part of The Fast and the Furious. And the most famous video sequence associated with the company's products is the Spyderco Harpy in the hands of Hannibal Lecter in Hannibal 2001. In the original (novel by Thomas Harris), instead of the Harpy, there is a larger knife of a similar design to the Spyderco Civilian, which can be seen in the film "Bad Boys"
