St. Cloud State University (SCSU) is a public educational institution located in St. Cloud, Minnesota, United States. Established in 1869, it is a part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System (MnSCU). The university has a nickname "Huskies", and its motto is "A Tradition of Excellence and Opportunity".
SCSU offers higher education and is affiliated with several organizations, including the National Collegiate Athletic Association, MnSCU, American Association of State Colleges and Universities, and the National Athletic Association. It has an employee base of 1,560 and operates a subsidiary, the St. Cloud State University Planetarium.
The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of ABET, and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
