Stakin is an infrastructure operator for Proof-of-Stake (PoS) public blockchains, offering delegation services. They operate nodes on selected PoS protocols, enabling delegators to earn interests.
The Stakin Yield Token (STKN) is Stakin Finance's token. Currently, it can be used to provide liquidity (LP) in trading pairs, and staked to earn more STKN. In future iterations of Stakin Finance, STKN will be used for governance. As the project and community grow, further use cases of STKN will be explored and implemented.
- Staking: Users can stake STKN to earn more STKN, which incentivizes long-term holding of the token.
- Yield Farming: STKN is used to incentivize users to yield farm by staking Liquidity Provider (LP) tokens into the protocol, which brings more liquidity into the platform.
- Stakedrop: STKN is used to incentivize token holders across multiple protocols to stake with Stakin, which enlarges the size of Stakin Finance community.
Both staking and yield farming are paid with newly minted STKN which are generated through inflation. Inflation will gradually increase the total number of STKN in circulation and reward early users of Stakin and Stakin Finance.
