Startfeld is a Swiss start-up network founded by University of St.Gallen, FHS St.Gallen University of Applied Sciences, Empa, and the City of St.Gallen in 2010. They provide funding, networking and resources to innovators and entrepreneurs in the St. Gallen Bodensee Area. The company is made up of three entities: The Startfeld Association, The Startfeld Foundation, and Startfeld Innovation Centre. The Association is responsible for management, advising, and support of startups. The Foundation is responsible for all matters related to funding and the Innovation Center provides work spaces and infrastructure. This includes meeting rooms and makers spaces. Startfeld also offers workshops and consulting for existing SMEs. Startfeld is a non-profit association.
The company is sponsored by Empa, FHS St. Gallen, St. Gallon Kantonalbank, University of St. Gallen and the City of St. Gallen.
The Startfeld management is headed by the six-member Executive Board, a Board of Trustees, and their "Expert Committee," which consists of ten professionals from various backgrounds in research, technology and business. The company also includes a team of entrepreneurial coaches.
