Chow is a film director, actor, film producer, screenwriter, and comedian, known professionally in the Hong Kong entertainment industry. He is associated with the genre of Mo lei tau comedy and has pseudonyms such as 幇主 and 星爺.
Chow directed and created the films CJ7 and Kung Fu Hustle. He has served as a member of the board of directors for Kung Fu Hustle.
