Stratio Automotive is a Portugal-based company specializing in using artificial intelligence within automotive engineering to enable early fault detection in vehicles. The company collects vehicle data through a sensor box in the vehicle called the Stratio Databox. The equipment can be integrated as a factory-fit product or retrofitted in existing vehicles in order to securely stream high-density vehicle data in real-time.
Stratio's predictive intelligence assesses vehicle conditions for manufacturers in the post-production phase in order to assist engineering teams in root cause analysis, ultimately saving them time and money. This is done with hundreds of thousands of vehicle sensor data points and variables in real-time and then analyzed by proprietary machine learning algorithms.
For operators such as transportation companies, Stratio decreases vehicle downtime by monitoring vehicle data in realtime and communicating failures before they occur. The software additionally helps create data-backed prioritization for repairs and general maintenance. Alerts and insights can be sent to customers via email and/or SMS, as well as displayed on a web interface.
Stratio has raised €3M in capital, from a seed funding round led by Crane Venture Partners with participation from LocalGlobe.
