Sven Markelius (born October 25, 1889 – February 24, 1972) was a Swedish architect, designer, and urban planner. He was born in Stockholm, Sweden and studied at the Royal Institute of Technology.
Markelius is known for his notable work on the Hötorget buildings. He was also a founder of the Congrès Internationaux d'Architecture Moderne (CIAM).
