T. H. White, also known as Terence Hanbury White, was a British writer and screenwriter born in Mumbai on May 29, 1906. He had his education at Cheltenham College. During his life, he held citizenship in the United Kingdom and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. White was a prolific author with a diverse range of literary occupations, including being a novelist and a screenwriter.
Among his numerous works, White is best known for his novels "The Sword in the Stone", "The Queen of Air and Darkness", and "The Once and Future King" – a retelling of the Arthurian legend. Other notable books authored by him are "The Ill-Made Knight", "The Candle in the Wind", "Mistress Masham's Repose", "The Book of Merlyn", and "The Master: An Adventure Story".
T. H. White passed away in Piraeus on January 17, 1964.
