Third Round Analytics Capital, or TRAC, is a quant venture capital firm that provides capital and predictive data to start-ups that it identifies as future market leaders. TRAC was founded in 2019 by Fred Campbell, Joseph Aaron, Scott Pyne, and Steve Marek.
TRAC combines a series of predictive metrics with historical market data to identify the most successful early-stage venture capital investors in the world, which it calls SuperForecasters. Such investors are usually in the technology field. TRAC monitors the investments of SuperForecasters and invests in them once they reach TRAC's minimum threshold for investments. In addition to capital, TRAC provides its investment companies with access to its SuperForecaster data via its Intelligence Dashboard. The dashboard contains information on more than 82,000 investors and 60,000 venture-backed companies that have raised over $1 million within the past twenty years. Companies can use the dashboard to find investors with successful track records.
TRAC's investment fund, TRAC Unicorn Fund I, is worth $31 million. TRAC plans to make approximately thirty-five investments with the fund. TRAC's investments range in amounts from $250,000 to $2 million. Companies that TRAC has invested in include ClassTag, Bite Ninja, Zendar, and HyperLinq.
