The Air Force has a vital and urgent defense mission need for rapidly detecting and tracking objects in beyond LEO to GEO and cislunar orbits to meet real-time requirements and match mounting threats from near-peer adversaries like China and Russia. This xGEO space domain awareness (SDA) is absolutely necessary in order to report where objects are in space and understanding why they are there. TransAstra’s technology will enable surveillance of additional volumes of space, at a fraction of the cost and lead time of current or planned traditional optical tracking system. This technology allows SpOC to find, fix, and track spacecraft and space debris to mitigate any potential threat throughout cislunar space.
