Tamkang University

Tamkang University is a private educational institute located in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Established in 1950, the university is focused on electronic design automation, education, higher education, and university sectors. Tamkang University is also known by the name 淡江大學.

The university holds accreditation from the Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan, the Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan, and the Ministry of Education of Taiwan. Tamkang University has affiliations with several organizations, such as the International Association of Universities, the Association of International Educators, the European Union Centre in Taiwan, the Open Education Consortium, the Pacific Association for International Education, the Association of Private Universities and Colleges, the Foundation for Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan, and the Established University Consortium of Taiwan.

Tamkang University has a motto of "Simplicity, Truthfulness, Firmness and Perseverance". The university has been granted 38 patents, and it has a subsidiary, the Tamkang University Maritime Museum.
