Telos Coin is the cryptocurrency powering the open source decentralized cloud storage and computing Transcendence Project that was forked from PIVX on June 11, 2018. Teloscoin and the Transcendence Project allow users to offer their computational power for services such as cloud processing and data storage.

The Telos Coin uses the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) cryptocurrency powering the Transcendence network through masternodes, and has blocks 10x faster blocks than Bitcoin (1 per minute) according to the projects white paper. The Telos coin also uses Proof of Saas (storage as a service) and Proof of Computing (Computational power as a service) consensus mechanisms.
