The Thai restaurant Ekkamai takes its name from the area in Bangkok on Sukhumvit. It is located next to the trendy Thonglor district, where old meets new and food and culture are diverse.
Founded in 2010, our goal was to bring authentic Thai food to the West Los Angeles area. People in the area are used to Thai sauces that used ketchup as the main ingredient. Thai food on the west side was too sweet, too salty, high in MSG, and lacked traditional recipes. It hasn't been easy, but we've found that our clients appreciate our efforts and we love you for it.
